LOSS PREVENTION

Reliant Protective Services, Inc. offers a wide range of Retail Loss Prevention services including Loss Prevention Agents for detection, apprehension, and prosecution of shoplifters.

Reliant provides agents who have been specifically trained for this type of security work. The agents work in plainclothes and blend in with the clientele as they watch for theft and vandalism. Once a theft has been detected the suspect is continuously watched until they exit the store at which time they are apprehended, the merchandise retrieved, and the thief processed.

If the suspect is arrested, then the agent makes all necessary court appearances to carry through with the prosecution.

Detailed reports are completed on all apprehensions. We can use your in-house form or we can use our paperwork.

As the agent is working he/she also watches for any signs of internal theft as well. Any such incidents are immediately brought to the attention of the responsible party in charge. Any security or safety discrepancies noted are reported as well.

CIVIL RESTITUTION

Most States allow a Retailer to demand a civil fine from Shoplifters. Though the terms and amounts may vary from state to state, most states allow it. This is called Civil Restitution. It is the states way of helping Retailers pay for losses due to theft and the security they need to stop it.

Reliant can administer a Civil Restitution program for you. We may be based in Arizona but we can administer your Civil Restitution program in any state. You simply forward your shoplifting cases to Reliant. We make the legal demand, and administer the recovery of the civil fine owed. We then make a monthly disbursement to you. Reliant charges a percentage of the monies recovered as their fee for administering the program, so there is no out of pocket cost to you.
